Tashfen is a dynamic, hands-on, and results-focused senior finance professional with more than 18 years of experience in infrastructure private equity, fund accounting, fund administration, investor reporting and portfolio management. Currently holding the role of Managing Director, Finance at Capton Energy, he oversees the financial strategies and objectives of Capton.
He commenced his journey at PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC"), where he spent 8 years in the assurance practice. Transitioning to Mena Infrastructure, a prominent USD 300 million infrastructure private equity fund backed by HSBC, Waha Capital, and Fajr Capital, Tashfen led finance and portfolio functions. During his tenure, he facilitated the acquisition of a power plant and contributed significantly to two successful infrastructure private equity exits, achieving impressive cash multiples and IRR.
Leveraging his substantial experience in finance and portfolio management acquired from a prominent infrastructure private equity fund, Tashfen takes on a strategic and operational role at Capton Energy. He serves as a thought partner across various functional domains of the business, including finance, investments, legal, and portfolio management.
Tashfen is a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) certified from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Additionally, he holds a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (“CIMA”).
